World Class Dance on MV
As one of the highlights of this year’s Yard Arts! Festival, Diversity in Dance combines the technical excellence of dance-world stars with the accessibility of Paul Taylor's upbeat master work, 'Esplanade.'
Program Displays 'Diversity in Dance'
A tribute to The Yard’s late founder Patricia Nanon, the concert features Paul Taylor’s Esplanade performed by Taylor 2, dance legends Gus Solomons Jr. and Carmen de Lavallade, works by Ms. Nanon performed by Vineyard dancers Jil Matrisciano, Daryl Owens, and guest artists, and a piece created specially by and for Island kids.
The performance begins at 6:30 at the Martha's VIneyard Performing Arts Center. A dessert and champagne reception with the cast follows.
Tickets: $100 premium seating and party; $50 premium seating; $20 general admission; $10 general admission for seniors/under 30.
