A soft breeze rolls in from the ocean, as twilight approaches a blend of pinks, purples and blues, cast a glow around the meadows.  Under a white canvas tent, tables laden with locally grown greens and produce beckon you to feast on their goodness. 

Pulling out all the stops
On Saturday, July 16th from 5-10pm, The FARM Institute is pulling out all the stops to celebrate eleven years of reconnecting children and adults to the land, animals and each other.   Indulge in priceless auction items, eat locally grown food prepared by some of the Island’s best chefs and dance your boots off to Johny Hoy and The Bluefish.
Auctioneer Paul Travers will be taking the reins of the live auction that includes tickets to a summer Red Sox/Yankees game with seats behind home plate, or your own private jet for you and 5 of your friends with a flight to New York City or welcome Johnny Hoy and The Bluefish to your home for a party of 50 of your friends.

Farm-o-Ramas
Watch your support for our mission in action through interactive educational displays developed by our students and teachers on topics ranging from how to raise Araucanada chickens to growing vegetables high in Zinc.

Bring your appetite!
Throughout the evening there will be plenty of food to sustain your soul.  From fresh watermelon margaritas to garden fresh crudites served with buttermilk dressing to maple glazed roasted whole turkey and roasted rib eye using the FARM's own grass-fed and pastured meat - your appetite will be more then satisfied!  This year’s event will feature a full dinner buffet prepared by Buckley Gourmet Catering.  Appetizers will be served where patrons can sample a variety of delicious items from some of the Island’s most renowned chefs. As always, the menu will work to offer enticing, locally grown foods, which showcase the Island. Participating island restaurants include:  Lattanzi's Italian Restaurant & Pizzeria,  Water Street Restaurant at the Harbor View,  Atlantic Fish & Chop House, The Scottish Bakehouse, Coastal Catering, Offshore Ale Company, and Sharky's Cantina.

The FARM Institute
You can also enjoy The FARM Institute as a family by participating in the many programs offered. Enroll your child now for an experience that teaches them cooperation, respect and responsibility.  Your children will gather eggs, care for the animals, work the gardens and learn the meaning of sustainable agriculture.  Camps run all summer and range in age from 2 -15.  Your child will have the opportunity to be a part of an environment where they can see the work they’ve put in develop into something that is tangible and enjoyable to the whole Island community.  Give your child the gift of self worth and self confidence.

Adults and parents can also enjoy a farm experience through our Farmer for a Day program or our Farm Workshops where you may learn about home composting systems, the joys of fermentation or workig with fiber from our FARM sheep and goats.
