The Madison Inn is an easy two-minute walk from the picturesque Oak Bluffs Harbor, where all of the summer ferries which sail into Oak Bluffs dock, including those from Woods Hole, Falmouth, New Bedford, Hyannis and Nantucket. Just beyond our front doors are the historic Ginger Bread Cottages, which are the original encampments of the first vacationers to Oak Bluffs. Also not to be missed is the Flying Horses Carousel, the oldest operating carousel in the country; Ocean Park, with it's weekly summertime band concerts; and the East Chop Lighthouse, with views across Vineyard Sound to Cape Cod.

The Right Choice
The Madison Inn's superb in-town location allows you to enjoy all of Martha's Vineyard without the hassle and expense of bringing your car to the island. Martha's Vineyard has six individual towns (Oak Bluffs, Edgartown, Tisbury, West Tisbury, Chilmark and Aquinnah) and all of them are easily reached by our public bus system, the Vineyard Transit Authority (VTA). Bus service is available from very early in the morning to late at night. The bus service meets all incoming ferries and, best of all, the Oak Bluffs VTA stop is a mere ½ block from our front door. Automobile and bike rentals are also available just a block away.
